The UCL 2016 Final clash is just a couple of weeks away and the excitement is increasing day-by-day!attack it will be a clash of two 'Madrid Giants', Real Madrid and Atletico de Madrid. If you don't know yet, the UCL Final will be played at the San Siro stadium in Milan, Italy on 28th of May,2016. The team which will win the final will be crowned as the Champions of Europe and not only this, they will have an opportunity to play against the winners of the UEFA Europa League for UawaySuper Cup.Wait! It doesn't finish here as the UCL winners will have right to play the semi-final of the Club World Cup. So, one trophy will give either of the two teams an opportunity to win two more.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
Well, all the football fans may know that the same final was seen in 2014, where Real Madrid won 'La Decima', the 10th UCL title and what's more! Real Madrid is the only club in Europe to won 10 UCL titles. The 2014 Final was a memorable one due to Sergio Ramos' header which came in 92:48 minutes! The final score was 4-1 and Real Madrid clinched the 10th UCL title. But, Atletico Madrid is in an amazing form this season as they have defeated two of the best clubs in world, FC Barcelona and FC Bayern Munich. So, the final will be surely a tough clash between the two! Real Madrid will want to get 11th title whereas Atletico De Madrid will seek to win first Champions League title. So, it's Zidane vs Simeone !
HOW THEY REACHED FINAL?
Both the clubs had pretty tough matches ( No too much tough for Real Madrid, though!). When Real Madrid faced 2-0 defeat by Wolfsburg in First leg of the Quarters, it was expected that Real Madrid will be ruled out of UCL but Ronaldo's hat-trick in the second leg ensured their place in semis! The semifinal was against Manchester City, where we saw a goalless first leg.Bale scored the goal in 2nd Leg and Real Madrid reached the final of UCL for record 13th time, of which 10 times the team won the title.
On the other hand, Atletico Madrid had a pretty solid opponent , FC Barcelona in Quarters. FCB won the first leg and the score was 2-1. But in the second leg, Atletico Madrid came back by beating FCB and the final score was 3-2, ensuring Atletico in semis. But, semifinal was against one of the best club, FC Bayern Munich. Yes! The match was tough. Atletico won away game 1-0 and this was a great advantage in the home game where FC Bayern defeated them 2-1 . But, due to the away goal, Atletico Madrid ensured their place in finals!
